The Roman Academy of Public Health was founded in Rome in October 2013; it is a non-profit, apolitical, non-partisan, and non-denominational organization.
Its objectives are the promotion and dissemination of Public Health Sciences, harking back to the great tradition of Hygiene, Public Health, and Roman Preventive Medicine.
These purposes are pursued by supporting cultural exchanges and knowledge sharing among members and Public Health scholars in Lazio, promoting and developing research, training, and communication activities, and through the implementation of professional development activities.
To this end, the Academy promotes editorial and multimedia initiatives that encourage the dissemination of Public Health sciences; organizes seminars, conferences, and lectures that highlight the scientific qualities of young scholars in the Public Health sector; awards Prizes and Scholarships to foster Public Health research both in Italy and abroad.
In its activities, the Academy collaborates with Government Bodies, the Ministry of Health, the Region, businesses, Health Authorities, Universities, and public and private institutions and organizations, both national and international.
The members of the Academy, distinguished as Academicians, Ordinary Members, and Corresponding Members, will be selected based solely on merit, both scientific and/or professional.
